There are two ways to move students to a level: 1) moving an entire class forward, or 2) moving individual students forwards or backwards.
Option 1: as a teacher
Currently, as a teacher, you can only move students forward one at a time - however, if you'd like your entire class to be moved forward, see option 2 and ask your school administrator to assist (the option for teachers to do this themselves is coming soon).
Click the name of the class that the student you want to edit is in:
This will take you to the following page, on which you should click "Students" in the upper righthand corner:
Then, click the gear icon next to the student's name that you want to edit, on the far righthand part of the row that the student is on:
This will take you to the student edit form.
Under the heading "Override Section Starting Level For This Student", select the desired module and level, and then hit save, as can be seen at the bottom of the below image:
If you are sending a student forwards (i.e. to a module and level beyond the one they are currently on), you can do this without any worry - it will not affect any of their data other than their current module and level.
However, if you are sending a student backwards (to a module or level behind the one they are currently on), use this option with caution, as it will wipe out their progress from levels beyond the module and level to which you are sending them, meaning they will have to redo those levels. Sending them backwards may also have an affect on their position on the leaderboard, as well as their position in any "equations mastered" contests that they are a part of.
Option 2: as a school or district admin
As a district or school admin, you can advance an entire class to a specific module or level (teachers do not currently have the option to do this for their entire class).
If you do this, students who are behind the indicated module and level will go forward to it, while students who are ahead of that module and level will not go backwards (so there is no need to worry about erasing their progress).
To do this:
1. click on the system settings icon:
2. click on "sections" (i.e. classes) on the top of the page:
3. find the desired class/section, then click the gear icon, which will show you a page like this:
Set the module and level that you want your students to move to, then click save.
